CPL filter is always better until it's night. Will cost you a few stops (and bucks), but well worth it. I have a bunch of B+W CPL MRC F-Pro filters, but you might want to have a look at their HTC line.

Excellent guide Chris, Love your work. I've been wanting to do one of these for ages with example pics but never get round to it.

You're right, such a shame about that catch fencing along reid park, spoils a great shot.

Looking forward to this year, just invested in the 105mm CPL filter for the 120-300 lens to play with this year.

Currently planning my attack on the event at the moment so I'm organised 1st time I'm actually at the event Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday early morning is my fave, think its gonna be another skyline, esses and dipper mad 1 hour dash in that light :)

I'll keep my eye out for you Paul, nice job on the CPL. I'm likely to be up the top Friday morning, then maybe around the chase or Hell on Friday arvo. Saturday inside Hell, Sunday still not sure for the start, but pretty much everywhere during the race.

Photographer for hire.

Bag packed, batteries charged, cards cleared and Chris's guide packed. Heading out tomorrow for a poke about along with having a look at a few spots.

Going to be a great few days.

Cool catch you there Chris sure we will bump into each other.

I'll likely be at hell practice 3 and early afternoon maybe up the top. Saturday not too sure, still undecided might go near skyline hoping to get a wheel to drop off the kerb for qualifying as they'll be pushing hard. Sunday up top coming down the mountain normally after 10.
