Have to say that this years field is pretty ordinary with only about 13 cars and no big names joining for this season.
Drivers missing from last year include Campbell, Smollen, Walden, Mastronardo, Bates, Walsh, Richards, Bergmuller, Ross & Padayachee.
Lets hope that we get an influx of entries for next year with the new model due.

Agree with that, and maybe the new model will see an increase. But is something else happening? Is AGT proving more popular than it used to be with CC drivers? Of those names that were not at Adelaide. Matty Campbell we know has moved on to a bigger Porsche picture - but 4 of the others popped up in AGT with drives. I'm wondering if those 4 will continue in AGT, or if they will return to CC later on - or given enough budget, do both???

$300k a year in Carrera Cup not including the car. Not cheap and extremely competitive, especially when you have someone as talented as Campbell it takes away some of the sparkle.

Case in point, Bates goes from fighting for challenge class wins, to outright wins.

Good read

Im not too surprised that in this transitional year before the new car lands that grids are small. Im sure we'll see a near full grid next year with plenty of interest in the new car.

A pretty good field for the ProAm at PI this weekend.

Is the arrival of a new car good timing or bad timing?

15 cars entered this weekend. I am leaning more toward the latter. We all know motor racing moves in cycles and I am unconvinced a new model is going to bring new competitors into the category.

Is there a reason why we didn't get the car at the same time as Supercup and the US?

New cars and class changes for next year.
Great to see as this category needs a boost.

Great streaming except for the unfortunate audio problem.
What a race, David wall showing that given the right sort of car he is smooth and damn quick.
The frantic battle between Grove and Miles was most entertaining to say the least.
Looking forward to tomorrow's races.

Too old for women so it's cars and truffles from now on.
