Race week begins, so who's your pick ?

Here's my preview:
motorsportnerd.wixsite.com/the-motorspor...review-Bathurst-1000

I'm honestly not sure. I'd love to see Lowndes pick up win #7 but realistically I don't think that's going to happen...
I'm thinking it will be both Red Bull's, Waters, Mostert and McLaughlin fighting it out on Sunday afternoon with Tander a potential spoiler in the pack...

Great lap by Reynold's and an even better lap by McLauglin.

IMO this thing sounds pretty tough.

Loved Reynold's call " can you call it the lap of the mountain goat"

A predictable 1000 with the action being in the last hour.
What odds would you have got if you'd picked the #17 & #88 as potential engine victims.
PRA would be stunned with their end results considering how good they looked.

Enjoyed the race and I can't think of a more deserving winning team and driver but as a die-hard Lowndes fan today killed me.

According to Speedcafe, the majority of teams wanted him to stay on despite one director of the board who was dead set against an increase in compensation. This happens all the time with people moving over a disagreeance in recontracting but wouldn't you want to keep someone on who the majority of teams actually wanted onboard?

Interesting to note that whilst he thanks teams, sponsors and Supercar staff no mention is made of the hundreds of volunteers Australia wide who make the events work, basically doing the job for love of the sport.
Guess you can't have the people who actually make it work and you look good getting any thanks. Typical for some but not for promotors such as James O'Brien and a couple of others who go out of their way to recognise the efforts and dedication of all the volunteers.
Can't wait for Challenge Bathurst and the BMF at Easter with the 6 hour event.

Too old for women so it's cars and truffles from now on.

Without the volunteers the events wouldn't happen. Its a bit remiss of the outgoing CEO to ignore them in that way

I'm surprised that the unleashing of the terribleness of The Shire and Being Lara Bingle hasn't hindered his reputation for his next role.

Pissing down on the GC and some of the Aussie racing cars acquaplaned and then into the wall.
Could have a serious issue here.
