I think going alone is a great move. Best way for the series to grow and prosper. Hopefully more of the big boys will play in the sandpit considering that they should be free too.

I could be wrong here, but in the UK don't the BTCC and British GT also operate separately?

They seem to exist on their own and both seem to be very successful without being detrimental to each other, so hopefully Aus GT and VASC can do the same.

I might sound like a broken record here, but there's no reason we can't enjoy both series'. I just hope this doesn't fuel the petty war of words that's going on between the two.

“I think live streaming is the way to go for sport in general,” Collier told Speedcafe.com."
This is brilliant news, and a genuine sign of the times. Good on them for doing so.

They should make the races available afterwards, or it still won't help me anything.

Haha and with sim racing they come out of the blocks faster then ever before!

I noticed that the trophy series has a round at wakefield park. I haven't been down there for a few years now but if they have a decent field and reasonable supports I might just get to that one :)

Any one heard anything more about some C7 Vettes coming to play in AGT?

Callaway reported about 8 weeks ago there was interest from Aus.

By the looks of it, its a Lamborghini Trofeo car so Im guessing it'll be running in Trophy?

Havent heard anything about Callaway in Australia since they mentioned it. Hopefully we see a car down here in a year or two. They're a small operation so building cars will take a while unfortunately unless one of the ADAC GT Masters teams upgrades and sells off this years car

Talent and speed isn't the issue with these young kids. It's the lack of consequence understanding that is more of a concern

It looks like the last iteration of the Reiter LP560 GT3 which puts it either 2010 or 2011. Jinadasa has a similar vintage car. Note the 2 front air intakes and single dive planes. The FL2 (LP600) version that came later and has 4 way split front intakes and dual dive planes. Also there is no pronounced air intake on the roof which features on the later spec cars (until the R-EX came out).

Also the hastags say its for trophy class where safety stop currently operate in! Its a nice buy!

That's the old Blancpain Gallardo. It's a GT3 but an older Reiter model.

It was for sale in WA months back. Posted it in the for sale thread at the time:

(Unless this is a different lambo)

Im pretty sure its a different car. That WA item is fairly old, anywhere from 2006-2009 as its based off the first iteration of the car. You can tell by the headlight arrangement - on the older cars they run most of the way up the bonnet.

The last time I saw one of those was when eric bana raced one in 2014!

Still no slouch through. This year a young Tim Macrow put one on pole in GT Trophy after its owner simply came up and asked him if he wanted to drive it for him on that race weekend! They didnt have a pit to car radio so they setup a mobile phone on the dash and had a long phone call!

I saw that! Its a nice way to help encourage involvement and get a return on ones investment assuming you win or place in the overall championship.

Another step forward for the category!
